How do you like your trim?

A few days ago I read this post over at Cote de Texas about updating your decor and Joni recommended painting your trim the same color as your walls for a more current look.  Hmmmmm....   I have always gone the classic route and painted my trim color some shade of white, because that's just what you're supposed to do!  It's classic, expected and so very safe - and I've always like the contrast of crisp white trim against a great  wall color.

But I must admit, there is something very appealing (and maybe scary)  about painting walls and trim the same color.  It creates an uninterrupted canvas for your furnishings, fabric and art - and all the cool kids are doing it!

I'm not sure I have the courage to stroke a fully loaded brush of glossy blue paint over my white trim (my blood pressure just went up10 points thinking about it) but I have to admit, it looks great!
