"Pretty" Returns to World Market

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Do you have a World Market  in your area?  I stopped by my local store a few days ago and noticed that they seem to be returning to a "prettier", more colorful look.  This is quite a (welcome) contrast to the pallor of the Belgian/Industrial styles we've been seeing. I'm kind of excited about it!

They had lots of Chinoiserie-inspired prints
like these fabric-covered storage boxes.
I also love these Ginger jar kitchen towels. Sadly, they're only offered in this peach color and purple.

They had a lot of elephants, too. This is another kitchen towel

In case you can't tell, that's a  lamp above.
World Market has so many great china patterns.  This elephant platter is part of a mix and match set.

This is another china pattern, this time featuring birds - another popular motif at World Market

These Chinoiserie bird panels are painted on burlap.  As beautiful as they are, I wish they offered more than just one design.

These parakeets (they're curtain panels) call to mind Nina Campbell's lovely Perroquet.

Have you noticed any pretty things on the shelves lately?
